Frequently Asked

Questions, before the kettle whistles

Everything you might want to know about ordering, shipping, and the tea itself.

Ordering & Payment

How do I place an order?expand_more

Pick your tea above, set the pack size and quantity, fill in your details, and submit. Our team will call you within 24 hours to confirm the order and arrange payment.

What payment methods do you accept?expand_more

UPI, IMPS / NEFT bank transfer, and cards through a payment link we share over WhatsApp or email when our team calls you. Cash on Delivery is available for Kolkata pin codes.

Is my payment information safe?expand_more

Yes — we never store card or UPI details on this site. Payment links are issued through verified payment gateways once your order is confirmed.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?expand_more

Anywhere in India. We ship via India Post and trusted private couriers, depending on your pin code and the most reliable option for your area.

How long does delivery take?expand_more

Within Kolkata: 1–3 business days. Rest of West Bengal and metro cities: 3–5 business days. Other parts of India and the Northeast: 5–8 business days.

Is shipping charged separately?expand_more

Standard shipping is included in the listed price for orders above Rs. 1,000. Below that we add a flat Rs. 60 to cover packaging and courier.

Tea & Quality

Is your tea genuinely unblended and single-origin?expand_more

Yes. Every pack is sourced directly from one estate per harvest — Puttabong, Sungma, Goomtea, or the hand-rolled lot from our partner planter. We do not mix garden lots or buy from bulk auction houses.

How should I store the tea once it arrives?expand_more

Keep the pouch sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, strong odours, and the kitchen stove. Loose-leaf Darjeeling stays at its best for about 8–10 months.

How do I brew it?expand_more

Use about 2.5 g (a heaped teaspoon) per 200 ml of water at 90–95°C. First flush: 2.5–3 minutes. Second flush and hand-rolled: 3–4 minutes. No milk, no sugar — taste it neat first.

Returns & Issues

What if my order arrives damaged or I receive the wrong tea?expand_more

Send a photo of the package and the contents to our support email or WhatsApp within 48 hours of delivery and we will replace the affected items at no cost or refund the line item — whichever you prefer.

Can I return tea I have already opened?expand_more

We do not accept returns on opened packs for hygiene reasons. If a sealed pack is genuinely defective, get in touch within 7 days and we will make it right.

Bulk & Gifting

Do you take bulk or corporate gifting orders?expand_more

Yes — we curate festival hampers and corporate gift boxes from 25 units upwards, with custom branding on the outer sleeve. Email us with the rough quantity and theme and we will send a quote.

Just in case

We hope you never have to write here.

Most orders reach our customers without any trouble, and most teas brew just the way they should. But if your parcel is late, the wrong tea has arrived, or the cup does not taste right — please do write to us. We will replace the pack, refund your order, or send a fresh one, whichever you prefer.
